Synthesia To Start
High-Performance DPP Pigments Production
Synthesia, a division of Aliachem, is prepared to start the production of diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) reds at its pigments and dyes plant in Pardubice, the Czech Republic. The DPP production line is fully computer controlled during the process of synthesis, finishing, drying and packaging, and all these processes are in accordance with environmental requirements, according to the company.
The initial annual production capacity for the plant is 100 tons and has the potential to increase to meet customers’ needs, according to the company. Synthesia will begin production with Pigment Red 254 in two products—Versal Red DP2G and Versal Red DP3G, which are recommended for industrial paints, OEM automotive finishes and refinishes and printing inks.
DPP reds will be produced by SBU Pigments and Dyes and sold together with other products of SBU Organics and SBU Nitrocelluloses on advanced markets in Europe and overseas.
